The gas section consists of a gas bottle which should be in a sealed anti-flammable box which is vented to the outside at floor level. The box should not only house the bottle but also the regulator and rubber hose. Any gas pipe outside the box should be in well supported copper pipe. The only exception to this is the hose used outside the van used to power a barbeque, awning heater or coolbox. Copper pipe is used to connect directly to the hob, oven, fridge, space heater, water heater, etc., preferable via a manifold tap or individual gas taps. Most systems now use 8mm pipe and connectors and a bulkhead regulator and hose.
